On April 21st, 2015 Google is making another change to their search algorithm. Their search results will now place a heavier emphasis on websites that are mobile-optimized. Google wants users to be able to use their search engine in a more user-friendly way, with accordance to the mobile device they are using.

With the update coming mid-April it will affect all searches worldwide. Last year it was reported that over 74% users were searching online on their mobile phones, so it is more than a growing shift in the way that users are using Google.

How Can You Prepare Yourself For The Big Change?

If you currently have a website built, modify the width of your browser window and see if your website adjusts accordingly. If it does, your website is responsive and is mobile optimized.
